Dental Whitening
Teeth may be stained or discolored for different reasons. If you want to see them brighter and whiter, you can choose bleaching.

Surface discoloration of teeth may occur due to food, drinks or smoking habits. Coffee, tea, red wine, food containing dyes and tobacco can cause stains. These stains affect the external surface of the teeth.

Internal discoloration occurs within teeth. Distinctive discoloration can occur due to medication, childhood disease, infection, tooth trauma or aging. And for these problems in-office dental bleaching sessions are available in Can Dental Clinic.
  • A cheek retractor is inserted into the mouth, exposing all the “esthetic zone” teeth.(Dentoalveolar segment that is visible upon full smile)
  • A hardening resin is painted onto the gum tissue to protect against any irritation caused by the hydrogen peroxide(bleaching agent) containing gel.
  • A bleaching gel containing hydrogen peroxide is applied to the esthetic zone teeth and kept on for about 15 to 30 minutes.
  • The bleaching gel is suctioned or washed off, and fresh gel is applied for one or more additional periods of 15 to 30 minutes.
  • After the final gel application, the cheek retractors are taken off, the patient rinses and the immediate change in shade teeth is evaluated. The teeth may whiten by as few as two to five shades..That ultimate color and the change in the shade emerges after a couple of days.
